Rates below are Copperliners’ rate card as of September 2026, priced against a 100-page baseline — typesetting, editorial and per-copy print cost step up per page beyond that. Your final total is shown as an indicative range, not a fixed quote. Update the RATES object near the top of the page’s script if these are revised.

Your manuscript

Rates below are priced against a standard trade book of a minimum 100 pages, black-and-white interior, standard paperback binding. Manuscripts under 100 pages are billed at the same base rate; longer manuscripts step up per page.

Editorial, typesetting and per-copy printing cost more per page once you go past the 100-page baseline — see the ledger for the exact step-up.
Over 300 pages — the rates below are capped at 300 pages for reference. Manuscripts this length are quoted individually; send us the manuscript for an exact figure.

Editorial review

Fact-preserving copyediting, a final proofing pass after layout, and a back-of-book index if your book needs one. Copyediting and proofreading prices step up beyond the 100-page baseline.

Typesetting & cover design

Book both together and the combo rate applies automatically — cheaper than booking them apart. Typesetting steps up beyond the 100-page baseline (cover design doesn’t — it’s priced per cover, not per page).

Images, diagrams & maps

Photographs and artifact images re-extracted and captioned as plates; bespoke maps, genealogy charts or diagrams built to match your book’s design.

ISBN, CIP & e-book

Print and e-book editions are registered separately. A Publisher’s Note is drafted at no extra cost whenever ISBN registration is booked.

Books in hand — print run

Minimum print order is 25 copies. Rate per copy drops as the order grows, and rises with page count — a thicker book takes more paper per copy.

  • Rates are priced against a 100-page baseline, black-and-white interior, standard paperback binding — editorial, typesetting and per-copy print cost step up per page beyond 100, up to 300 pages. Full-colour interiors, hardbound covers, larger trims or manuscripts beyond 300 pages are quoted individually.
  • ISBNs are issued free by India’s ISBN agency (RRRNA) — the fee above is the application processing charge under the Commercial Publisher category, not a price on the number itself.
  • Artistic / designer-led covers are priced by agreement between author and publisher, not a fixed rate — they’re excluded from the total above and quoted once scope is set.
  • The 25–49 copy print rate (₹130/copy at 100 pages) is confirmed; the 50–99 and 100+ slab rates at the 100-page baseline are a provisional scaling pending Dr. Babu’s confirmation.
  • Author copy packaging & delivery: ₹500 handling up to 25 copies, plus courier at actuals; larger orders quoted on request.
  • Estimated turnaround: editorial + typesetting + cover, 3–4 weeks from manuscript handover; printing, 1–2 weeks after final file approval.
  • Rates current as of September 2026 and subject to revision without prior notice.
